Product Overview
Our IXPE Underlayment (Irradiation Cross-Linked Polyethylene) is designed to deliver superior sound insulation, moisture protection, cushioning, and durability under various flooring materials. Utilizing advanced electronic cross-linking technology, IXPE offers a non-toxic, eco-friendly, and high-performance solution for residential, commercial, educational, and medical flooring needs.
IXPE product features | Characteristic specification |
Non-toxic and odorless | Using electronic cross-linking technology, there are no chemical residues and no harmful gases are produced |
Thermal insulation | Independent closed cell structure effectively reduces energy exchange caused by air convection and has insulation and heating effects |
Corrosion resistance | The characteristics of polyolefin itself, in addition to related solvent substances, have strong corrosion resistance |
Water and moisture resistance | The independent closed cell structure and the compactness of polyolefin molecular structure itself effectively prevent the penetration of water, and have the effect of water blocking and isolation |
Cushioning property | Independent closed cell structure, capable of self recovery after compression, with shock absorption and impact resistance effects |
Sound insulation | The independent closed cell structure effectively reduces energy exchange and blocks the transmission of sound waves caused by sound and impact, thereby achieving the effect of silence and sound insulation |
Aging resistance | Through electronic cross-linking treatment, the physical and chemical properties of polyethylene molecules have been significantly improved after cross-linking, and their lifespan has increased by more than 5 times compared to before |
Flame retardant, anti-static, conductive, anti-bacterial and anti-mildew | IXPE foam material can also be formulated and processed according to customer needs, which can increase excellent properties such as flame retardancy, anti-static, conductivity, antibacterial and mildew resistance |

Our Ixpe underlayment undergo a rigorous production process to ensure that each batch of products meets high standards:
1. Raw material mixing: Select low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and auxiliary materials, and use an efficient mixer to ensure uniform distribution of raw materials.
2. Extrusion molding: The mixed raw materials are melted and extruded through an extruder to form a uniform sheet.
3. Electron irradiation cross-linking: The electron accelerator is used for radiation cross-linking to change the original structure of the base material and form a mesh independent closed-cell foam structure.
4. High-temperature foaming: Continuous foaming at high temperature to form a fine and uniform foam structure.
5. Cooling and shaping: Rapid shaping through the cooling system to ensure stable product size.
6. Rolling and packaging: The finished product is rolled and packaged for easy transportation and use.
